Life at 2CV

We are a small(ish) agency, with a big heart

Available Positions

October 2022

The role:

We have an exciting position in our Qualitative team for a bright and enthusiastic Research Executive. We are looking for a Research Executive to join our team working on ad hoc qualitative research for a dynamic, award-winning market research agency. You will work with a portfolio of leading technology and entertainment clients. The ideal candidates will have experience working with technology brands or show a genuine interest in doing so - you'll be working with some of the biggest names across gaming, video content, mobile, consumer tech, and everything in-between!

In this role, you will have the chance to get involved in all stages of the research project lifecycle, enabling you to develop your research skills in an agency environment, learning in a supportive and encouraging team. You will be working on projects from the proposal stage through to presenting the deliverables. On a typical day you would be responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple research projects and helping to deal with any issues that might arise.  You will be expected to plan and manage project timelines, lead on tasks such as script checking, as well as playing a key role in the analysis, interpretation and reporting to create insightful, thought provoking reports that answer the clients’ brief. You’ll be joining a small team of around 5 people, sitting within the wider team of the US office which includes 5 quantitative researchers.

While your allocated department will often form the majority of your workload, we do require an openness to work across the qualitative department, including assisting with the recruiting/fieldwork setup as workload dictates.

What you need?

Seen as something of a learning role.  You will be able to execute tasks to clear instructions, and are looking to build experience to take on more autonomy as quickly as possible.  You should be a fast learner, and love EXPLORING research, our clients’ businesses, to build up your own experience.

Experience should be at a technical level and focus on research processes.  You should have worked through the project process multiple times to understand ‘what great work looks like’. Specifically you will have:

  • Ideally 1-2 years’ experience of qualitative research
  • contributed to screener and discussion guide creation,
  • observed and potentially moderated some focus groups and depth interviews
  • monitored fieldwork progress,
  • written analysis frameworks,
  • created project updates and materials that are clean, effective, error-free and engaging,
  • and are proficient in the digital tools of our trade such as MS Office

Great REs at 2CV are…

  • are hungry to learn and acquire the experiences they need to understand the research process from end to end
  • are observant and curious, and learn quickly; but are also keen to develop a real depth to their understanding
  • have a great eye for detail and quality, and take professional pride in their work
  • are interested in what makes people tick, and are fascinated by different perspectives – whether those are of respondents, clients or colleagues
